Our 9 month old baby girl will soon be turning into a toddler!
Over the past month, Eloise has begun to crawl and is now tearing up the house with her curiosity and need to investigate every little thing she sees. I love it! Phoebe was not like this at all, and preferred to sit and read or just play with her toys. The hard part is that Eloise finds the tiniest pieces of dirt and little toys and puts them in her mouth, whereas Phoebe never, ever did this and I never had to worry about having little things on the floor with her around.
Eloise is weighing in at 22 pounds 2 ounces and is 31 inches long. The pediatrician says she is going to be a tall lady. Her favorite foods these days are diced pears, banana, bread, yogurt, sweet potatoes, puffs, and I hate to admit this but she loves pizza, just like her sister. Whenever I am cutting some up for Phoebe, she stares at it, screaming and twirling her little hands. That’s how she let’s me know she wants something. If she doesn’t get her way whenever she wants something (or Phoebe takes something from her) she gets very offended and will shout and cry and voice her discontent.
I love how much Eloise loves to play with Phoebe and how interested she is in her toys. Whatever Phoebe has, Eloise immediately crawls over to her to play, explore, and participate in whatever she’s doing. Phoebe is getting better with sharing, but for the most part does not like how curious her sister can be. Eloise is very social and loves being around other kids. She gets very excited and giddy, just like how Phoebe was at this age.
Night time is still exhausting with Eloise. She wakes up frequently most nights and wants to nurse, but I’ve been letting her cry it out because she’s made it a habit of waking up to eat when she doesn’t need to be eating. She just wants to hang with her mama.
We discovered that she loves Sesame Street, and likes to watch Peppa, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, and Teletubbies with her sister. It’s adorable. Baby dolls are also a new favorite toy for her, and it is the cutest thing to watch her smile and play so nicely with her babies.
In just a few months we’ll be celebrating her first birthday and I’ll have another toddler on my hands. I love it but hate it. She is the cuddliest, squishiest, happiest little baby and I want to keep her that way!
